The predecessor of "PTC ASIA" was "China International Exhibition on Power Transmission and Control Technology (PTC China)", which was hosted by the Ministry of Machinery Industry of China and organized jointly by Hanover International Exhibition Company, the Mechanical Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the China Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Sealing Components Industry Association. Over the past 30 years of its existence, the exhibition has always received strong support from relevant departments such as the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the Ministry of Commerce of China, and the Shanghai Municipal Government. Through cooperation with industry associations from various countries, it has established a first-class platform for display and communication in the power transmission industry.
The exhibition covers eleven major theme areas including hydraulic, pneumatic, sealing, gears, motors, chain drive, belt drive, springs, bearings, transmission components and industrial subcontracting. In recent years, it has attracted exhibitors and visitors from countries and regions such as Germany, Italy, Russia, Turkey, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, etc., greatly promoting international exchanges and trade development in the power transmission and control technology market. Since its first launch in 1991, PTC ASIA has grown from being held every two years to annually, with the exhibition area and exhibition content expanding continuously, and the number of professional visitors doubling. In October 2023, PTC ASIA 2023, which is about to open in Shanghai, as the most important showcase window for power transmission and control technology, will bring the latest technological innovations and application popularization of power and control technologies to related industrial fields.
