As the rubber boat rushed down the first steep slope, screams and laughter burst forth along with the snow-white waves! Lake Yuanxi River, like a green silk ribbon, meanders and dances through the canyon. The primitive secondary forests on both banks weave a natural green corridor, and the dappled sunlight filters through the leaves, dancing on the turbulent water surface.
Lu Zhi Bay is like a piece of jade meticulously carved by nature, quietly embedded in the embrace of the Fuchun River. The simple wooden boats glide gently across the water, leaving behind a shimmering ripple at the stern, which awakens the graceful flight of the white egrets on the shore. What is most captivating are those ancient trees that extend into the water, with their twisting and coiling roots submerged in the clear waves, while their crowns provide a lush shade. We gather a handful of cool river water under the shade of the trees and watch as the sunlight filters through the leaves, scattering golden specks on the water surface.
Passing through the pergola covered with vines, one suddenly steps into the slow-paced time of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The cobblestone-paved alleyway is like the lines on an old person's palm, polished shiny by time. The unevenly elevated and decaying folk-style gable walls on both sides are adorned with dark patterns, and on the eaves, a white cat is sunbathing. The most wonderful thing is the intangible cultural heritage workshop encountered at the corner. In the oil mill, the wooden millstone's pounding sound reverberates loudly, and the wine shop wafts the sweet aroma of freshly brewed rice wine. When the setting sun turns the inkwell into a golden red, sitting in the century-old tea house and holding a cup of snow-water cloud green tea, suddenly one understands what it means to "time is like water, and the ancient town is like tea".
The overlapping curved dams resemble the scales of a huge fish. The rapid river water here transforms into thousands of silver ribbons, joyfully leaping on the uneven stone steps. At the peak of the midday sun, the splashing water droplets refract into seven colors of the rainbow, appearing faintly in the misty water vapor. We walked barefoot on the top of the dam, feeling the cold river water flowing over our ankles, watching the reeds on the opposite bank swaying in the wind, and the undulating outlines of the distant mountains reflected on the mirror-like water surface, forming a dynamic scroll of landscape.
Passing through the entrance covered with vines, one instantly falls into a cool world with a temperature of 16℃. The colorful lights awaken the sleeping wonder of stalactites that have existed for billions of years: The "Yingzhou Pillar" stands as a towering divine column, and the stone curtain of the "Galaxy Waterfall" pours down, solidifying into eternal waves. The most astonishing part is the "Jade Pillar Supporting Heaven" hall. Dozens of stone pillars, each over 30 meters tall, stand like ancient trees, and the hanging stone flowers on the dome are crystal clear and transparent. The sound of water drops falling resonates in the empty cave, as if it were the footsteps of time.
